TASK# 5: LEANDRO AND THE TIME MACHINE

TASK# 5   (JUNE 30, 2021)

Prologue of  the script plus 1 script of a one-act play

(Leandro and the time machine)

Prologue:

Leandro, entered their newly acquired junkyard. He looked  around and discovered a weird  looking machine in their old scrapyard. The machine suddenly produced loud clanking  noise and then he saw a  beautiful princess who seems to be in distress.

At first glance, his heat skipped a bit.  But just by looking the princess's appearance, he knew she is far from his reach. Far from his knowing, the princess felt the same way too.

Would they still love each other despite of where they came from?

 

Will their love conquer all their differences? Or will it break them?

SCRIPT

THEME: There is nothing that can not be resolved through talking.

(Enters the door and looks around. Walks

Leandro:  (Enters the door and looks around. Walks toward the corner and discovers a weird looking machine.) What is this?

(Machine produces a weird clanking sound. Princess Elnora comes out.)

Leandro: Who are you? How did you come out from that machine. (Points the machine with his finger and bits fingernails)

Princess Elnora: (Looks around) Why did you dress differently? What kingdom is this?

Leandro: I asked you first, so you have to answer first.

Princess Elnora: I am Princess Elnora of Almazora. (Bows elegantly). My parents sent me into a portal  by my parents as our kingdom is underseige by rebels led by the cruel Draco the Beast. Now...  You must answer my question.

Leandro: (Eyes widened and face shocked) I will answer your question, but you must eat first.

Narrator: Elnora hesitated, but with the hunger she's feeling and the sincerity of Leandro's eyes, she agreed. 

While eating,  the machine once again produced loud clanking  noise and then out came an old man and woman clad in royal fashion. Elnora ran to them and gave them a hug. It was King Pandarus and Queen Almojuela.

Princess Elnora: Your highness, it is such a relief to see you both safe. (Tears started to form)

King Pandarus: I am happy to see you safe too. (Extends arms and hugs Princess Elnora and Queen Almojuela)

Narrator: After the hug, the machine had another round of the loud clanking noise and this time out came Draco the Beast with his Knights.

King Pandarus: Don't go near us. (Took out a sword and pointed it on Draco the Beast)

Draco the Beast: Oh, I guess you're not the same coward boy I knew before. (Also took his sword and pointed it on King Pandarus)

Narrator:  Both of them have the same ability on holding the sword, they cannot outsmart each other. After endless fighting, they had each other's sword on their neck. Staring at each other's eyes with the same amount of pain and anger.

Leandro: Why don't you just tell each other what you really feel? Why don't you just let out  the grudges you hold for each other?

Narrator: As if on cue, they both let go of each other's sword. Tears rolled both rolled on their eyes.

Draco the Beast: (Bends Knees) Forgive me. If I let my jealousy prevail. If I thought you stole everything from me. The woman I love, our father's love and the throne.

King Pandarus: (Slowly bends knees) Forgive me too. Forgive me if you thought that I took all the things you wanted. It was never my intention.  It was destiny's. And for the throne, I never wanted it, it was our Father's way of protecting you from your own anger. Forgive me too, for thinking you're selfish.

Narrator: They hugged each other, letting tears flow in their eyes like a waterfall as they let go of the pain and grudge they hold for each other.

Narrator:  After forgiving each other, they all decided to use the weird machine and go back to the kingdom they live in and bring it back to it's original state.
