  •  SIMILE- 1. You eat like a pig.
                     2. Her skin is white as snow .

              

  • METAPHOR- 1. She has a heart of a lion.
                              2. From the bottom of your heart.
            

  • HYPERBOLE- 1. I got thousand  things to do today.
                                2. She cried so long that she made a lake.

  • OXYMORON- 1. Pretty ugly. 

                                2. Sweet sorrow.
         

  • PERSONIFICATION- 1. The moon was resting in the midnight sky. 
                                            2. The leaves danced their way through the lawn.
          

  • ALLUSION- 1. She fell for him, knowing well that he is nothing less than a Casanova.
                             2. Chocolate was her Achilles' heel.
         

  • IDIOM- 1. Saved by the bell.
                     2. Cool as a cucumber.
     

  • ASSONANCE- 1. That cat had snack.
                                2. The cat ran after the alligator, past the pastry shop and the alleyway.
           


  • ONOMATOPOEIA- 1. Bang!
                                        2. Pow!
             

  • ALLITERATION- 1. She sells seashells by the seashore.
                                     2. A fancy fox filing fan mail.
